GYANA PEETAM – OUR MAIN PROJECT:

You are all aware that the Sanatana Dharma was in doldrums in the past 2500 years back when Lord Shiva took the avatar as Adi Sankara in 788 AD at Kaladi Kerala. He established Shanmatha to make the people disciplined and to follow our Vedic principles. Again Adisesha took the avtaar as Swami Ramanuja in 1017 AD at Sriperumbudur near Chennai. In 1199 AD Sri Madhvacharya was born at Velali near Udipi in the district of South Kanara in Karnataka. He was considered as incarnation of Vayu, the Wind-God.

There were many more Great Mahans in Bharat who have worked for the survival of Sanatana Dharma. Today Sanatana Dharma exists due to the efforts of the above Three Great Acharyas who established Vedas and Bhakthi marga.

As such it is our endeavour to construct a Vedic Research Centre in the name of GYANA PEETAM either in Nanganallur or in the surroundings. As per our rough estimate the land cost and construction of building will cost more than Rs. 1.5 Crores. In this activity we wish to have the involvement of all the asthikas(followers of Sri Sankara, Sri Ramanuja and Sri Madhvacharya).

Devotees can participate in our Gyana Peetam
Project in one of the following ways:

1. Kindly donate generously for purchase of land which may cost about 30 to 40 lakhs. Your small donations such as
5000 or 10,000 and above will help us in getting the plot. Your donations are exempted under section 80-G of Income Tax Act.

2. Interested devotee may donate a plot if available for divine purpose anywhere in Chennai or in suburban areas.

3. Please visit our above Web site and forward the message to your friends

As such it was our endeavour to construct a Vedic Research Centre in the name of GYANA PEETAM either in Nanganallur or nearby surroundings. In the year 2009 our desire was fulfilled by the Almighty and a plot was donated to us by a devotee for construction of Gyana Peetam at Srinivasapuram, Vengatamangalam, near Kandigai in the Chennai city. Sanctum Sancotirum for the Three Acharyas viz. Sri Adi Sankara, Sri Ramanuja and Sri Madhvacharya will be installed and the younger generation will be taught about our culture and heritage. Vedic Students will be drawn from nearby institutions to stay and do the research work in Vedas. ADAMBAKKAM CENTRE.
.
Smt Vanaja Ramadoss of Shanthi Nagar Adambakkam was the Programme Director and there were 15 students in that course held from 6rd May to 13th May 2007. Thanks for the cooperation extended by Ramdoss couple and the physical assistance rendered by other ladies during that period.

NOIDA CENTRE

Smt. Ambika Srikath was the Programme Director at the CDCC Course held at Kendriya Vihar, Sector 51, Noida. The Course was attended by 17 students and was conducted at the residence of Sri Dhandapani from 27th May to 3rd June 2007. The moral and physical support given by Mr. & Mrs. Dhandapani and their daughter Sow Ishwarya and her cousin Sow. Divya made us very comfortable and enjoyable in the one week course.
Thanks to them and other ladies who participated in serving the children during the lunch period on all the days. The efforts put in by Sri V. Srikanth our Coordinator at Noida and his wife are always memorable.

DWARAKA CENTRE AT NEW DELHI

Sri S. Santhakumar. Our another Coordinator of KGEF at New Delhi took lot of interest in organizing a Course Dwaraka, a new large residential colony in New Delhi.
Smt. Nithya Santhakumar was the Programme Director for the course conducted there from 3rd June to 10th June 2007. Here also 15 students from std.3rd to 9th std. Participated. The trend set out by the ladies of Noida to provide lunch to the students, was followed by the parents of Dwaraka also. All the days students had different dishes according to their taste. A good team of faculties also assisted us. Smt. Deepa and Sri Hariharan Natesan on Computor animation and Shri Manoj Bhanot and Shri Sanjeev Bhanot on Yoga & Health attracted the students and they learnt with interest.

In all the 3 programmes we took the students to outdoor activity and visited Sri Sankara Mutt and Sri Ramakrishna mutts. The incharge of Sri Adi Sankara Temple at Noida (maintained by Sri Kanchi Sankara Mutt) volunteered to host the residential programme of this course in the coming year. Swami Santatmananda, chief of Sri Ramakrishna Mutt at New Delhi also offered to assist the students with their own infrastructure. This shows the importance given by the Swamiji and other parents for this course.

CONCLUSION

Still many parents and our own members feel that Summer Camp means it is only 2 to 3 hours training course on drawing, painting or any other hobby. KGEF course is like a Gurukulam training where the students are with Guruji from moring 8 am to 6 pm. In actual Gurukulam the students remain with the Guruji for certain period. Ofcourse we have a plan to have such a fortnight residential course on the banks of Ganga probably at Sukradall near Hardwar where Sri Sukdev enlighted Sri Parikshit Maharaj on Bhagawatham. If all parents and members of KGEF agree, with the blessings of Acharyas we will go ahead.

KGEF members are spread all over the country and abroad. We would like to conduct short term courses similar to the above conducted courses at Bombay, Pune, Indore, Nagpur, Bhopal, Bangalore, Tanjavoor, Trichy and at Coimbatore. One or two dedicated members are required to come forward so that we will organize the courses either short term or one week course. Swami Krupananda will visit the places and meet the parents for this purpose.

Please think about and consult your other friends in your area and contact KGEF on e-mail
